Successfully Upgraded to WordPress 2.7

I am very happy to have successfully updated my WordPress to the latest version of WordPress 2.7. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to try the update myself, especially since I first needed to learn how to correctly backup my database–something I have never done myself.  The DB backup went just fine, thanks to a bit of advice and from my friend Ken.

Obviously I’m very happy that the upgrade went fine, but I am even happier that I stepped outside of my comfort zone to learn something new and succeeded.*

*I’m currently reading an awesome book authored by my surfing idol, Laird Hamilton, which asks that one steps outside of his/her comfort zone as much as possible. Doing so lets one feel alive, regardless of failure or success. The title of the book is, “Force of Nature: Mind, Body, Soul (And, of Course, Surfing).”

Timon, thank you for commenting on my blog. I hope you are fairing well in 2009 amidst the ugly economy. I took a quick visit to your blog, but will have to check it out more thoroughly outside of the office.
