PPC Keyword Tracker Plug-inThis is just a quick post to all of my PPC Keyword Tracker Plug-in for WordPress customers.

  1. New Organic (SEO) Tracking Functionality is Coming!
  2. A Tracking Bug

1) Yes, you did read correctly. I have spoken with my programming team and they have confirmed they can add Organic keyword tracking to my PPC Keyword Tracker Plug-in. This is a feature many of you have asked for and will utlimately get it. I will likely release this together with a couple of other changes as v2.0. Look for this to come sometime in the next 4 weeks.

2) Some of you have reported an issue where the anonymous tracking ID is not being appended and passed. My own tests have revealed that is likely where your Ads’ destination URL does not include a trailing forward slash. Manually add one for now.

Instead of:

http://www.domain.com/dir1?kw={keyword: }

Add trailing slash to end of core URL (prior to tracking variable(s)):
http://www.domain.com/dir1/?kw={keyword: }

I have asked my programmers to address this in the next update where it will make no difference.

If you have any questions, please contact me.

Happy Tracking!

– Eric

p.s. I know some of you have asked about the plug-in tracking Match Type. I am also looking into adding this functionality.
