My First Google AdSense Check

OK, so you can truly do almost nothing and generate some revenue with Google Adsense. Here’s proof. Yeah, it’s a laughingly small check, which:

• Took almost a year to generate
• Didn’t even cover my total web hosting costs.

Yeah, I’d be a bit disheartened if my real goal was to make money with AdSense. Luckily, this was more of me testing some things to see what is possible on a very minimalist effort. The real win here is that I did actually learn about the power of AdSense and got a good perspective from the Publisher side of advertising vs. my daily view from the Merchant side; so that was cool. Further, I now get to take what I’ve learned and carry it over to my marketing efforts for SpeedyPin.com Phone Cards.
