Getting My Butt Kicked by Robert Drysdale – Purposeinc Think Tank 2009

I never posted about attending DK’s Purposeinc Think Tank 2009 this past September, but wanted to take a few minutes to do so; better late than never. DK (aka Dave Klein) is such a cool, down-to-earth kind of guy that you just can’t help but to take an instant liking to him. You rock Bro!

There were many conference highlights for me, including getting to “roll” with 6-time World Jiu-Jitsu champ, Robert Drysdale (see me in action).

I had to wrap the word roll in quotes because he quite honestly, destroyed me and he wasn’t even trying.

Mr. Drysdale has a new jiu-jitsu training facility in Las Vegas, NV. In case you don’t know who Robert is, take 30 seconds to checkout this ridiculous video on YouTube showing Robert throwing up a ridiculous flying armbar in a Tapout commercial seen by millions of SPIKE TV viewers the past few weeks. This video has been airing during the Ultimate Fighter TV show on Wednesdays.

Check it out:

At any rate, it was a blast and I hope to attend more of DK’s gigs in the future, for example the Purposeinc Poker Tournament @ Pubcon.

That’s it. Hope everybody had as good of a Thanksgiving as did I. And one more thing… sharing is caring so why don’t you share some of the links in this post by sending them to your friends, or just use the much easier tool below (Share This).

Don’t think I can make it this year to ThinkTank. My son just moved in with me and started 7th grade yesterday. I am shooting for next year.

See you at PubCon 2010.

Cheers,

Robert
